Is everything decided on the go?

No, not everything will be decided on the go.

For this event, we have a fixed route that will guide participants through an incredible bikepacking experience. To enhance the sense of community, we have established a single designated endpoint for each stage, where all participants will gather at the end
of the day to share their experiences.

During the arrival day briefing, we will provide detailed tracking maps through our new partner, RideWithGPS, ensuring everyone feels confident and well-prepared for the journey ahead.

What is the typical temperature at night?

In October, the lowest temperatures will be in Dana and in the desert, with minimums ranging between 10-15ºC.

How many kilometers will be covered daily and at what pace?

The atmosphere will always be relaxed; it’s not a race and the goal is to enjoy. We’ll quickly pick up on everyone’s pace, and if there are big differences, we can divide into two groups. We will also set meeting points to rest, get supplies, eat/drink, etc. But there’s no rush. The goal is to travel – not compete – by bike.

As for daily kilometers, it varies a lot. For example, there’s one stage where we cover about 100 kilometers, but that’s because there’s a lot of downhill as we descend to the Dead Sea, which is 430 meters below sea level. Generally, we’ll cover around 50-60 kilometers a day.

I see the plan is to camp. How does it work in terms of hygiene?

In some places where we plan to camp, there will be showers. On other days, we’ll have to get creative, like hanging a “camelbak” from a tree or something similar, using the bag’s capacity (they’re usually around 3 liters) for a sort of makeshift shower. That said, there will be more places with showers than without.

How much do flights usually cost?

Right now, for example, the Madrid-Amman route, departing on the 2nd and returning on the 13th, is around €98 (basic fare) with Ryanair.

You’d need to add a 10kg extra bag, which usually costs around €20 per trip.
And if you’re bringing your own bike, it´d cost an extra €60 per trip.

Are transfers from the airport to the hotel in Amman and back included?

The mentioned transfers are not included, but there is public transportation available from Amman Airport to the 7th Circle.

However, if needed, we can also arrange private pickups once we have your exact arrival details, including flight information and timing. We’ll make sure to organize them as affordably as possible.

Let us know your preference, and we’ll assist you in finding the best option!

Are the entrance fees to tourist sites included?

No, they’re not included.

The best option is to get the Jordan Pass, which acts as a visa and includes a one-day entrance to Petra, as well as entry to other sites we might visit.

Can I store the box in which I transport my bike somewhere to have it available at the start of the route?

If not at the hotel, you can store the box at the top of the store (Cycling Jordan), in a space that is not open to the public.

Is the return to Amman from Aqaba by bus? What about the bikes? Is it included?

Yes, the return to Amman is by bus.

We would buy the tickets in Aqaba, unless we arrange something affordable for the group, which we’ll propose once we know.
It’s not included.

Can I book my flights for a couple of days earlier to enjoy more time there?

Of course, you can book flights for days before or after the event without any problem!
